Two longshot candidates for the Democratic nomination for governor are crying foul over not being invited to a candidates' forum.
Lebanon County Commissioner Jo Ellen Litz and Pentecostal minister Max Myers say they were unfairly excluded from the Friday night event in Harrisburg sponsored by a trial lawyers' group, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.
The other six declared candidates were invited, and five plan to participate.
Dan Fee, a spokesman for the lawyers' group, says Litz and Myers were not invited because they have not been included in most public polls on the eight-way race and because no one in the organization expressed interest in hearing from them.
In separate statements, Litz and Myers said the forum organizers are depriving voters of hearing their points of view.
