SugarHouse Gets Table Games

Table games arrive at long-delayed Philly casino

Tables for games like blackjack and craps have started arriving at a long-delayed Philadelphia casino project.

Workers began moving table games into the SugarHouse Casino on the Delaware River waterfront on Monday morning.

SugarHouse is one of two planned casino projects planned for Philadelphia.

The casino should be up and running for the public on Sept. 23, said General manager Wendy Hamilton.

A test-run for selected guests is set for Sept. 20 and 22.

A second casino planned for the southern end of the city's waterfront is in need of new investors after billionaire casino developer Steve Wynn backed out.
