New Jersey Postpones Debate on Infrastructure Budget

The future of New Jersey's roads and bridges remains on hold because of the weather.

Assembly Transportation Committee Chairman John Wisniewski had planned a public hearing Thursday on the transportation trust fund. But the hearing is canceled because of the snow.

Gov. Chris Christie says the fund will stay solvent until 2016.

Lawmakers and other stakeholders argue the fund ought to be replenished through new revenues, but there has been no agreement on how to raise the money.

Lawmakers are preparing to hold hearings on the governor's fiscal year 2016 budget while Christie considers a campaign for the White House.
