NJ Gov. Chris Christie Heading to Boston

Gov. Chris Christie is bringing his town hall tour back to New Jersey before traveling to Boston for a fundraising event.

The Republican governor will hold his 136th New Jersey town hall in Cedar Grove Thursday at the Essex County College Police Academy.

It will be his first since the state's largest teachers union announced it's no longer cooperating with Christie's plan to overhaul the public workers' pension system and health care benefits. Christie has been holding weekly town hall events to sell the plan.

Christie will be in Boston Thursday for a fundraising reception for Leadership Matters for America, the political action committee that's been laying the groundwork for his possible presidential run.

He took his first extended trip to New Hampshire last week and held two town halls there.
