Monday Deadline for Voter Registration

Register by April 18 to vote in the May primary election

The candidates are out and about in Philadelphia and other cities trying to win votes.

Pennsylvania voters have until April 18 to register to vote in the May 17 primary election.

Completed registration forms must be either submitted or postmarked on or before April 18.

Anyone who has been a resident of his or her election district for at least 30 days before May 17, or will be at least 18 years old on May 18, can register to vote in the primary.

Philadelphia voters will nominate Democratic and Republican candidates for Mayor, City Council and City Commissioner and narrow the field of judicial candidates.

The good government group, Committee of Seventy, has compiled information about the registration process and the candidates.
