Long Lines, Huge Turnout as Election Day Unfolds

We're seeing long lines and a huge turnout at the polls Tuesday---Election Day.

At the Dendy Recreation Center, near Temple University, nearly 200 people were waiting in line to vote by 7:30 a.m.

Delaware Valley High School on Bustleton Ave. had over 150 people in line by the time the polls opened at 7 a.m.

NBC 10's Justin Pizzi reported long lines at the Anderson Cultural Center in Wynnfield.  Nearly 100 people were in line before the polls opened.  Volunteers there said they had never seen the lines like this before.  Folks were lined up before 6:30am.

NBC 10's Tracy Davidson sent NBCPhiladelphia.com this photo at 7:03 a.m. of a polling station in Wynnewood, Pa.  This is just 3 minutes after the polls opened.  Voters were awake bright and early to beat the voting rush, but the line was wrapped around the building.

NBC 10's Lynn Berry also reported long lines outside of a Greenville, Del. polling place Tuesday morning.

This video, taken at 7 a.m., shows nearly 1,000 Penn State students waited in line to vote.
