Kramer, Tuko Win Philadelphia Marathon

The race included a record 27,000 plus runners

Mariska Kramer of the Netherlands and Folisho Tuko of High Falls, N.Y. won the women’s and men’s divisions, respectively, at the 18th Annual Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday morning. For Kramer, it is her second consecutive win in Philadelphia.

Kramer was dominant in the women's race, finishing in a time of two hours, 35 minutes and 46 seconds. She beat the second-place finisher by more than five minutes.

Tuko finished the race in two hours, 19 minutes and 14 seconds to win the men’s division.

Both winners take home a $3,500 cash prize. The race included the largest number of runners in its 18-year-history with over 27,000 combined runners (including the full, half and 8k distances). It was estimated by race officials that 60,000 spectators lined the 26.2 mile course.
