Christie's Going Back to College

NJ Gov. Christie will address graduates at his Alma mater

New Jersey Gov. Christie will give the winter commencement address at the University of Delaware.

"Gov. Christie's long record of public service and his abiding love of his alma mater make him an excellent person to speak to our newest graduates," said Pete Hayward, vice president and University Secretary.

Christie is a 1984 graduate of the school.

New Jersey First Lady Mary Pat Christie graduated from Delaware in 1985.

Earlier this year, Christie was inducted in the University's Alumni Wall of Fame, which recognizes UD graduates for outstanding professional and public service achievements.

The Winter Commencement will be on Jan. 9 in the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center.
