New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has filed for an income tax extension, meaning he won't have to disclose his 2014 income publicly for several more months.
Christie, who is considering a run for the Republican nomination for president next year, has filed for an extension every year since he took office in 2010.
Last year, the returns showed Christie and his wife, Mary Pat, made just under $700,000 in 2013. His salary as governor was $175,000. The bulk of the income came from her job as a director at Angelo, Gordon & Co., an investment advising firm.
In 2013, the Christies paid $194,000 in state and federal taxes plus $38,000 in local property taxes.
