Winter Weather Setting New Records for Snowfall

Following several bouts of heavy snowfall, this winter has made its way into the history books in a number of American cities. For instance, Philadelphia is experiencing its third snowiest winter since snow totals were first recorded in the city back in 1884. The Chicago area has seen enough snow to to put this season on the record books as the city's fifth snowiest ever. And New York, the winter weather has ranked as the seventh snowiest on record. The Northeast will see higher temperatures this week, but meteorologists are warning Americans to brace for at least another month of bone-chilling temperatures, ice and snow.
