Donald Trump's famous hair was wildly mussed up on national television when the Republican made his third appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Thursday evening.
When Trump appeared Thursday for a taping of the show, host Jimmy Fallon closed his interview by asking if he could do one silly thing with Trump since he could be president the next time he appears on the show.
Fallon then asked to mess up Trump's hair — and, after pondering it for a moment, the Republican nominee agreed. Fallon sent Trump's locks flying out of control in every direction.

Trump's appearance on "The Tonight Show," which comes 11 days before the first presidential debate of the general election, precedes that of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton — she's scheduled to appear with Fallon on Monday, though her segment is being taped Friday.
During the interview with Fallon, Trump complained that the presidential debate's host, Lester Holt, will be unfairly tough on him.
"He's got to hammer me and that's unfair," he said and explained that he thought this to be true because he believes people think that former moderates at previous debates were too easy on him.
Trump previously visited the show on Sept. 11, 2015, when Fallon interviewed Trump while impersonating the businessman, and Jan. 11 this year. And during that most recent appearance, Fallon interviewed Trump for the job of president. On Thursday night they continued that interview. When Fallon asked him what he would do if he didn't win the election against Hillary Clinton, Trump responded by saying "I want to take over."
Though Trump is known for being sensitive about his hair, he smiled throughout the taping Thursday. But press pool photographers were prohibited from taking a photo of the Republican candidate afterward.
"The Tonight Show" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET.
