No Odubel Herrera or Maikel Franco in the Phillies' lineup Tuesday night in Miami.
Herrera sits again as part of a planned two-game benching by manager Pete Mackanin.
Franco, 2 for 21 since his eight-game hitting streak ended and batting just .195 since April 30, is off tonight with Ty Kelly at third base. It's interesting timing considering Franco is 3 for 7 with a home run off Tuesday's opponent, left-hander Justin Nicolino (see game notes).
Mackanin is desperate to find a way to put this team in position to score runs. Over the last nine games, the Phillies have the worst batting average (.174), on-base percentage (.246) and slugging percentage (.294) in the majors.
