Tidbits: Court May Not Keep Brown, Rihanna Apart

Other Tidbits: Simon Cowell's b-day bash and Heidi Klum's snub

Last month, a judge ordered Chris Brown to stay away from ex-girlfriend Rihanna for the next five years following his February attack on the R&B singer, but Brown and Rihanna allegedly have found a way to work around the court-imposed separation.

According to a report in Britain’s Star, the pair plans to have an extended meeting outside the court’s jurisdiction.

“(Brown and Rihanna) spoke to their lawyers to see what was allowed, and are now planning two weeks in Mexico,” a source revealed to the magazine. “They want to spend some quality time together and know they have a lot to reconcile before they can make their relationship public again.”

Though the source claimed Brown and Rihanna “never, ever stopped loving each other,” the former couple realizes any decision to reunite could have repercussions far beyond their own relationship. They both have fan bases to think about.

“Rihanna’s desperate not to let her fans down as she’s had such support from them,” the source explained. “She and Chris both need to have a long, hard think about a strategy that won’t hurt their careers.”

Simon Cowell plans his biggest birthday bash
Come October, “American Idol’s” resident grump, Simon Cowell, plans to celebrate his 50th birthday with a spare-no-expense, star-studded bash.

“It's going to be the highlight of the showbiz calendar,” an insider told the Daily Mirror. “Simon's not a massive party person, so when he says he's going to do something, he does it in style.”

It’s the sort of style that costs over $400,000, which works out to around $1,000 a head for his 400 celebrity guests.

“Simon's been planning this party for months and the guest list is phenomenal — a Who's Who of the celebrity world,” the insider said.

The expected attendees include Elton John, Kevin Spacey, Denise Richards and Donald Trump, as well as “all (Cowell's) recording artists … and all the judges on his shows from both sides of the Atlantic.”

Heidi Klum responds to Lagerfeld’s digs
After months of enduring random jabs in what seemed like a one-sided feud courtesy of designer Karl Lagerfeld, “Project Runway” host Heidi Klum admits she doesn’t understand why the living legend now pretends he doesn’t even know her.

“I don’t know why (Karl) said that,” Klum told Page Six magazine. “Maybe he wanted to be in the paper? Maybe he doesn’t understand what I do? It’s bizarre to me that he says he doesn’t know who I am because he’s dressed me in the past. I’ve worn Karl Lagerfeld.”

Still despite the high profile snub, Klum insists she’s not offended.

“People can say whatever they want to say,” the model said, adding, “You can’t please everybody, and you can’t live your life wanting to please everybody either.”

Dish on the fly
“High School Musical” sweethearts Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens hardly have enough time to maintain their relationship now that they’ve put their on-screen school days behind them. “The pressures of fame and the fact they are not working together any more has really taken its toll,” a source close to the couple revealed in a quote published to Showbiz Spy. “They’re trying to make more time to see each other to work things out but right now it’s not going well.” … Reality TV’s stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe, and “Real Housewife” Bethenny Frankel went from old friends to Twitter foes this week. It all started with an out-of-nowhere dig from Frankel, which read, “Is wondering if I'm the only one who can't get over the self-important nonsense that is Rachel Zoe.” Although Zoe seemed momentarily taken aback (“been friends for years, rude”), she soon returned the sentiments. “(Bethenny) is inappropriate and clearly desperate for some attention,” Zoe wrote. With the tweets still flying, it looks like this feud is far from over.
