If Someone Starts Whining About the Cost of Moviemaking, Show 'em This β€œMonsters” Featurette

Writer-director Gareth Edwards went to the south of France this year to screen his super-low-budget film "Monsters" at the Cannes Market. There's a good chance he spent more on travel and lodging than he did on his film, which nonetheless earned raves.

"Monsters" has been described as β€œlike 'Lost in Translation,' set in Mexico, but with gigantic alien monsters,” by /Film, who report that Edwards spent a whopping $15,000 shooting his film.
