Magnitude 1.4 Earthquake Rattles New Jersey: USGS

A small earthquake rattled part of northwestern New Jersey early on Monday, the US Geological Survey said.

The magnitude 1.4 quake was recorded about a half-mile southeast of Kinnelon, according to the USGS.

Police in Bloomingdale, about 3 miles to the east of Kinnelon said that people called 911 to report the shaking. 

No injuries were reported.
