Navy Nurse on Trial for Refusing to Force-Feed at Gitmo

Since the release of the CIA torture report of suspected terrorists after the Sept. 11 attacks, there has calls for the medical personnel and officials who played key roles in the brutal interrogations tactics to be prosecuted. In refusing to engage in the force-feeding of prisoners at the Guantanamo Bay prison, a U.S. Navy nurse is currently on trial for disobeying a direct order and facing a dishonorable discharge from the military. The nurse, an 18-year veteran, was in Guantanamo when some of the prisoner went on hunger strikes. The unidentified nurse, having done it a few times, decided that force-feedings were too barbaric and refused to do them anymore.
