A Tennessee high school student was shot and killed Thursday while waiting for a school bus, NBC News reported. The 17-year old was shot just before 7 a.m. near downtown Nashville. The Tennessean newspaper reported that the shooter came from a vacant lot and shot the teen in the neck. There were witnesses, police told the paper. The suspect was still at large, according to NBC affiliate WSMV. The victim played football and basketball for Pearl Cohn High School, school officials told WSMV.
