Portland Water Feared Tainted by Urine Not Flushed

Portland officials decided not to drain the 36 million gallons of drinking water that was feared to be tainted by a teenager’s urine. Officials at the Portland Water Bureau want to experiment to see how long the water quality can last, aside from the urine, as above-ground reservoirs are being phased out in 2015, NBC affiliate KGW reported. The bureau originally announced it would drain the water after a 19-year-old was caught on video last month urinating into the reservoir.
