Obama Links to Facebook For Economy Town Hall

President Obama and Facebook continue to be friends. The White House announced that the social network will be live-streaming an open town hall meeting hosted by Obama, CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg from the site's Silicon Valley headquarters on April 20. Facebook will be choosing the questions for Obama to answer, which will focus on the economy and fiscal concerns. Obama is known for being tech-savvy and has several ties to the multibillion-dollar company; former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs is in talks for a senior communications post at the site and Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes was a major player in Obama's new-media campaign strategy for election 2008. The president's Bay Area plans also include a series of pricey fundraisers in San Francisco as he continues to campaign for term two, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
