The blonde bombshell filed a $20 million lawsuit against Marc Cherry in April alleging, among other things, that she was wrongfully terminated from her contract after she made complaints that he had physically assaulted her. A statement from ABC, which airs the show, said her claims were "without merit."
However, in a filing in the Los Angeles Superior Court on December 17, Sheridan dropped her claims of physical injury and emotional distress and, in exchange, she won't have to submit to either a physical or psychiatric exam. Both parties agreed to those terms and the case will go forward with those charges stripped from the stipulation.

Sheridan did not retract her allegations, but rather narrowed the focus of her lawsuit and is now suing for lost wages and benefits.
Her character, the saucy neighborhood siren Edie Britt, was killed off in 2009.
