Michelle Obama to Appear on “The Biggest Loser”

The First Lady will welcome participants to the White House for the first "Biggest Loser" White House workout.

First Lady Michelle Obama is going to make “The Biggest Loser” even bigger.

NBC announced Wednesday that the First Lady will appear on “The Biggest Loser,” for its first ever White House workout.

Mrs. Obama will appear in a two-part makeover episode set to air April 3 and April 10.

In the first episode, contestants get a makeover with fashion expert Jeannie Mai and celebrity hair stylist Ken Paves. During this episode, the contestants receive a video message from the First Lady inviting them to the White House, where family members are waiting to surprise them.

In the second installment, the First Lady welcomes participants to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, where she speaks to them about leading a healthy lifestyle. Trainers Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince then take the reigns by leading the First Lady, the participants and their loved ones through The Biggest Loser’s” first White House workout.

Obama has been an advocate of healthy living since her husband took office in 2008. Her personal commitment to keeping a healthy household was a driving force behind her "Let's Move" campaign, which launched in 2010 and aims to give children and families greater access to healthy food and physical activity.
