Douglas Ogles Everyone, Leo Wins Supporting Actress, “Toy Story 3” Best Animated Feature

Kirk Douglas shuffled out with the aid of a cane to present the nominees for Best Supporting Actress, but first ogled Franco and Hathaway.

"He looks so much better out of the cave… and Miss Hathaway--she's gorgeous, wow! Where were you when I was making pictures?"

Before opening the envelope, Douglas looked into the crowd and pointed.

"Hugh Jackman is laughing--I don't know why. Everyone in Australia thinks I'm funny. Colin Firth is not laughing--he's British."

The Best Supporting Actress Oscar was one of this year's more wide-open races. Melissa Leo had won the Golden Globe for her performance in “The Fighter,” making her the frontrunner, but then she launched her own “For Your Consideration…” Oscar campaign, one that reportedly turned off many voters. But the Leo backlash failed to materialize, as she won the first Oscar of her career.

"Pinch me," said Leo as she offered her forearm to Douglas. "Woah! Mine? For me?"

"You're much more beautiful than you were in 'The Fighter,'" said Douglas

"You're pretty good looking yourself, what're you doing later on?," replied Leo.

"Thank you, David O. Russell. I wanna thank the actor, Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Amy (Adams)…yeah I am kinda speechless… I watched Kate two years ago, it looked so (bleeping) easy."

After thanking a bunch of folk you've never heard of, her tone then turned oddly dark, as she closed with a shout.

"It's all about selling motion pictures and respecting the work!"

Next came “The Lost Thing” winning Best Animated Short for Shaun Tan and Andrew Ruhemann, followed by director Lee Unkrich being presented with the Best Animated Feature prize for "Toy Story 3."

"I can't believe I'm actually saying this but, "Thank you to the Academy!" said Unkrich
