A 39-year-old New Jersey pre-K teacher has been arrested for allegedly threatening to bring guns into the building and open fire, authorities say.

Gina Schroeder, of Nutley, is accused of making terroristic threats in connection with last week's fray at The Goddard School in Elmwood Park.

The owner of the school, Olga Dubinsky, told News 4 that Schroeder told another staffer Friday that "one day, I'm gonna come here and shoot it up." That staffer told Dubinsky, who notified police, she said.

Cops put the school on lockdown and detained Schroeder, but no weapons were found on school grounds. Three legal guns were later seized from her home.

According to Dubinsky, there had been no issue with Schroeder until recently; she says staff reported noticing a change in her behavior the last few weeks. Dubinsky also said the school had done state-mandated background and fingerprint checks and no red flags popped up.

A now-pulled bio on The Goddard School website says Schroeder started there in April 2016 and was the primary teacher in the infant classroom, NJ.com says.

In addition to the terroristic threat charges, Schroeder is accused of illegally possessing prescription drugs. It's not clear if she has an attorney.
