A teenager from Oklahoma was injured when he dug a hole into a sandbank on a Florida beach and it collapsed around him.
Bay County Sheriff's officials say 17-year-old Travor Brown was in critical condition when he was taken to a hospital Wednesday afternoon, but his condition had improved several hours later.
It happened at St. Andrews State Park near Panama City Beach.
Dacota Carter told the News Herald he saw three teens making cavities in the sandbank earlier in the day. He says hours later a family sitting nearby noticed Brown's feet sticking out of the sand and beachgoers started digging him out.
First responders used shovels, a backhoe, a tractor and large wooden planks to rescue the teen.
Brown is reportedly an aspiring model and was going to be a senior in high school this year.
