Country Club Bartender Targeted Members in Home Burglaries: Police

A former bartender at a private country club in New Jersey targeted its members during a recent string of home burglary, police said.

Lisa Bostrom, 54, and Garry Doherty, 61, both of Long Branch, each face several counts including burglary and conspiracy, Middletown police said. It's not known if they've retained attorneys.

Bostrom was a bartender at the Beacon Hill Country Club who didn't have access to membership records, officials said. But she allegedly used her knowledge about its members to enter their homes in a series of burglaries that started Christmas Eve.

Bostrom and Doherty were captured earlier this month after a resident reported a man who approached a home and asked about a lost dog. Authorities found a vehicle that matched the description of the getaway car used in the burglaries, and Bostrom and Doherty were found inside the vehicle.
