Christina Aguilera Throws ‘Wild' First Birthday For Son Max

Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman threw a wild party on Saturday at their Beverly Hills home – a “Where The Wild Things Are” themed first birthday for their son, Max, who turned 1 on January 12.

Christina and Jordan celebrated Max’s first birthday with 40 guests at a casual backyard party, People reported. Among those in attendance were pal Nicole Richie, boyfriend Joel Madden and daughter Harlow, who also celebrated a birthday the day before Max.

Party guests enjoyed LA’s unseasonably warm weather surrounded by a sea of blue, green and pink balloons, according to the mag.

The birthday menu, catered by LA’s Along Came Mary, reportedly consisted of kid-friendly food, and included mini peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

The highlight of the celebration was the reported appearance of a costumed character from the beloved Maurice Sendak children’s book.
