Burns will play Vanessa – the wife of Dr. Michael Mancici (Thomas Calabro) and the mother of his younger son, Noah.
Burns is just the latest name to join the cast. As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the new series – which debuts September 8 – already includes Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Katie Cassidy, as well as original series members Laura Leighton, Daphne Zuniga, Josie Bissett, and Calabro.
Calabro was the only star to appear in all seven seasons of the original "Melrose" run.
A former "Baywatch" babe, Burns' TV credits also include "North Shore," "Miss Guided" and game show host on "Dog Eat Dog" and "Hole In The Wall."
