Britney Spears fans rejoice!

The princess of pop is hard at work on a new album and it could be one of her finest yet, according to her manager, Adam Leber.

"Brit is working on the album. Its [sic] going incredibly well. Possibly off to the best start yet," he tweeted on Thursday afternoon. "We have some amazing tracks. No release date set…"

The album news came just two days after Britney's highly anticipated cameo on FOX's hit show, "Glee," which earned the series 13.5 million viewers – making it the second most-watched episode in the show's history.

Britney's last album, "Circus," was released on December 2, 2008 (on the superstar's 28th birthday) and the album's first single, "Womanizer," earned the blond bombshell a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording.
