Angry Husband Pushes Wife's Red Corvette Into Delaware River: Police

Philadelphia police are searching for a man accused of pushing his wife’s car into the Delaware River.

The unidentified man drove his wife’s 1990 red Corvette to Magee Lane and New State Road in Northeast Philadelphia after a domestic dispute, according to investigators. He then allegedly pushed the vehicle into the river below and ran away.

Officials initially believed someone was inside the car when they were called to the scene. Witnesses told them they spotted the man running away shortly after the car fell into the water, however.

Police are still searching for the man and told NBC10 he will likely be charged with reckless endangerment once he’s found. They also told NBC10 he won't be charged with theft however since he and his wife have joint custody of the car.
