Utah Woman Arrested After Roommates Find 2 Stillborn Babies in Closet Tote

A woman is facing charges she concealed the remains of two babies inside a plastic tote in a Park City home.

Summit County prosecutors filed two counts of desecration of a human body Friday against 28-year-old Molly Frances Jojola.

Prosecutor Joy Natale says in court documents that roommates cleaning a closet in September 2015 noticed a "terrible smell" coming from a tote and discovered the remains of two full-term infants.

Prosecutors say tests have since determined the baby boy and girl were Jojola's children.

Jojola told police she gave birth to stillborn babies in 2012 and 2014.

Jojola, who is living in California, is due to appear in court in September.

She did not immediately respond Saturday to messages left at phone numbers listed for her.
