Five startled burglars ran out of a house in Grand Prairie, Texas, Monday morning after they came face-to-face with a 15-year-old girl who “just told them to leave.”
Fifteen-year-old Jasmine Ramirez and her 13-year-old sister, Alexandra, were home alone when four men and one woman broke a bedroom window and then kicked in the front door.
"And then I heard them open it and I heard their voices,” Jasmine Ramirez said.
She called her mother as she and her sister hid in her sister’s bedroom.
"She was crying,” Cynthia Ramirez said. “She said, 'Mom, they're breaking in the front door."
The mother raced home from work and called 911 on the way.
"Those few minutes, I didn't know what was going on,” Cynthia Ramirez said. “I didn't know if they were still in here or if they were doing something to them."

Jasmine Ramirez said she was scared.
"I didn't know what to do,” she said.
She can't explain why but she said she opened the bedroom door. She came face-to-face with the burglars -- and said the first thing that popped in her head.
"I just told them to leave,” she said.
The startled suspects ran.
The sisters’ mother arrived within minutes.
"When I got here, I saw that they were OK,” Cynthia Ramirez said, fighting back tears.
Soon, police spotted the suspects' car. They refused to stop, and the chase that followed lasted about 20 minutes.
All five -- four men and one woman -- were arrested in Arlington.
They were identified as Richard Escamilla, 27; Anthony Frazier, 24; Felisha Inocencio, 25; Esteban Macias, 20; and Ricky Olguin, 27. Macias was driving, police said.
Grand Prairie Detective Mark Beseda said the same group is suspected of shoplifting beer earlier Monday morning from a convenience store at South Carrier Parkway and Marshall Drive.
They also knocked on other doors in the Ramirez’s neighborhood looking to break into another house, police said.
"It's scary, because anything could have happened,” Cynthia Ramirez said.
