Girlfriend Drives Off With Boyfriend on Car Hood, Kills Him in Crash: Police

Police say the man and woman had been involved in a domestic dispute

A woman who crashed her car into another vehicle as her boyfriend was clinging to the hood in Queens was charged with murder after he died of head trauma, police said.

Maria Espinosa was also charged with manslaughter and assault.

Police say Matthew Soria died at Brookdale Hospital Sunday morning. They said he and Espinosa had been involved in a domestic dispute prior to the crash.

Police say the 51-year-old Espinosa made a U-turn with Soria hanging onto the hood of the car before hitting another vehicle.

Soria fell off the hood of the car upon impact. 

Two other people were hurt.

Espinosa was in custody Sunday. It wasn't clear if she had an attorney.
