NASA Releases New Photos of Wallops Island Explosion

NASA has released new images from the 2014 explosion of an unmanned rocket.

Last October, the Orbital Sciences' Antares rocket blew up just seconds after liftoff from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. The rocket was was loaded with 5,000 pounds of experiments and equipment for the six people living on the space station.

The newly released photos show the moments after the explosion. The agency posted the spectacular photos on Flickr just days ago.

The explosion caused about $20 million in damages to the state-owned launch pad.
