Mother Named as Suspect in Young Daughters' Deaths, Police Say

Investigators said the father called police to the home on Tam O'Shanter Street Tuesday afternoon

The mother of two young girls found dead in the garage of their Ontario, California, home has been identified as a suspect in their killings, police said Wednesday.

A 14-year-old girl and her 4-month-old sister were found Tuesday afternoon. Their mother was found unresponsive, in a failed suicide, police said.

Linda Nguyen, 47, was arrested in connection with the deaths. She remains at a hospital but was expected to be booked into jail on two counts of murder once she has been medically cleared, police said.

Police said the mother had been dealing with depression issues.

Police say among the evidence recovered was a suicide note. Police didn't release a cause of death for the children.
