Missing Virginia Girl Found Safe; Suspect in Custody

The FBI-involved search for a 14-year-old girl from Virginia ended with the girl being located safely and the suspect in custody on Wednesday.

An Amber Alert was issued for Isabel Shae Hicks on Oct. 21 after she vanished from her residence in Bumpass, about 40 miles northwest of Richmond, NBC News reported. Officials believe she was abducted from her home by 33-year-old suspect Bruce William Lynch, who was arrested.

"The Virginia AMBER Alert for Isabel Hicks and Bruce Lynch has been canceled as both have been located in Virginia," Virginia State Police said in a statement. "Miss Hicks has been safely located and Lynch taken into custody."

At the time, Lynch was considered to be armed and dangerous — leading the FBI Richmond Division to assist in the search for Isabel as she was considered an "endangered missing juvenile."
