American Airlines Flight From Miami to Paris Diverted to Boston Logan

Massport says the American Airlines flight was diverted because of an unruly passenger

A flight from Miami to Paris was diverted to Boston's Logan Airport because of an unruly passenger Wednesday night, Massachusetts Port Authority confirmed.

Flight 62 flew out of Miami around 6:40 p.m. heading to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, a spokesperson for American Airlines confirmed.

Authorities say the plane landed safely on the ground around 10 p.m. and that no one was injured.

Massachusetts State Police say Edmund Alexandre, 50, of Paris, France, was charged with interfering with a flight crew.

He was arrested without incident or injury, but was brought to Massachusetts General Hospital, where is currently remains, for treatment of a pre-existing condition.

Alexandre will be arraigned in East Boston District Court when he released from the hospital.
