An unknown write-in candidate is the winner of a special election for an open House of Representatives seat.
Republican candidate Lucinda Little received 198 votes while write-in candidates received 2483 votes in the special election for North Philadelphia's 197th District Tuesday. The write-in candidates include Green Party candidate Cheri Honkala and Democrat Emilio Vazquez. City commissioner Lisa Deeley told NBC10 however the winning write-in candidate won’t be revealed until Friday morning when the ballots are counted. The count will take place Friday at 9 a.m.
The seat for the 197th District, which is 85 percent Democrat and 5 percent Republican, became vacant with the January 3 resignation of Democratic Rep. Leslie Acosta. Acosta pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The race will not affect partisan control of the state House, where Republicans hold a 121-82 majority.
