Woman Stole $35K From Cemetery

A northwestern Pennsylvania woman already charged with stealing $2,000 from a Cub Scout pack has now been jailed on charges she stole more than $35,000 from a local cemetery association.

Online court records don't list an attorney for 34-year-old Stephanie Mullen, of Titusville, who faces a preliminary hearing Aug. 7 on the charges involving the scout pack in her hometown.

The Titusville Herald reports Mullen was treasurer of the scout pack, as she was of the Cherrytree Cemetery Association when that group also started losing money as far back as 2006.

Mullen was jailed after she could not post a bail of $50,016 Wednesday.
