Philadelphia police say a 42-year-old nurse at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital was stabbed in the leg by a woman who was trying to stab her sick father.
The 55-year-old father suffered a gash to his head from a soda can during the attack around 7:10 p.m. Saturday. He and the nurse, who was stabbed in the left leg, both are in stable condition.
The woman has been arrested and a weapon was recovered.
Police did not identify anyone involved in the incident.
