A woman was shot during the morning rush hour on Route 422 Friday morning.
When she felt a thud as she was driving, she told police she thought she'd been hit by another car, sources tell NBC10.
She pulled over to the shoulder of the road and quickly discovered she'd been shot.
A bullet came straight through the passenger side of her car and hit her in the arm and in the leg.
The woman had been on the phone with police telling them she was having a problem with the driver in question.
The accident happened around 7:20 a.m. on the eastbound side of the highway near the Oaks exit.
The victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Her injuries are not life-threatening.
Police spent the morning looking for the driver of the other car.
Several hours later, a man surrendered to police after going first to his attorney's office in Norristown.
