A woman is in stable condition after she jumped from a third floor window to escape a fire in her Philadelphia apartment.
Police say the fire broke out in a trash can just after midnight Friday morning on Morton Street in the city's East Mount Airy section.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.
The woman is being treated for head and leg injuries.
Her name was not released.
