Woman in I-95 Crash Dies From Injuries

One of three women hospitalized after a crash on an interstate highway in central New Jersey earlier this month has died from her injuries.

Officials tell The Times of Trenton that 40-year-old Tamla Wolcott of West Orange died earlier this week.

Wolcott was a passenger in a car that crashed Jan. 11 on Interstate 95 in Ewing.

Authorities have said the vehicle was southbound near Exit 1 when it left the roadway and ended up in a wooded area. The crash remains under investigation, and authorities say the driver may have been trying to avoid an unrelated crash that occurred in front of her.

The driver and her other passenger are both expected to recover from their injuries.
