A preliminary hearing is set to take place for a woman accused of attacking Hollywood actor Terrence Howard inside his Montgomery County home.

According to an affidavit of Probable Cause, May Seng Yang, 39, of Plymouth Meeting, is a former girlfriend of Howard's who would not stop trying to contact him after he broke things off.

On May 6, around 11 p.m., the affidavit states Yang parked her vehicle around the corner of his home in Whitemarsh Township. She allegedly walked to the gated driveway and rang the bell where she was greeted by Howard’s current girlfriend.

Howard eventually came outside and tried to calm her down, according to the affidavit. As Howard began to open the gate, the actor and his girlfriend claim Yang punched him in the face.

Yang was arrested and charged with simple assault and other related offenses. Yang’s attorney denies the allegations and claims Yang was the one who called police and that Howard knocked her cell phone out of her hand. He also tells NBC10 he has paperwork that proves Howard has had problems in the past.

Yang's preliminary hearing on charges including simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct is scheduled for June 12 at 10 a.m., according to court documents.

Howard is currently in Philadelphia filming the movie Dead Man Down.
