A woman walking in South Philly Wednesday night was shot in the stomach after resisting a man who tried to rob her, according to Philadelphia Police.
The 19-year-old woman was walking on the 1200 block of South 12th Street at about 11:20 p.m. when a man approached and tried to rob her. The woman wouldn’t give in to the suspect and he then shot her once in the stomach.
The woman was taken to Jefferson University Hospital in critical condition Wednesday night. Officials say she is now in stable at Jefferson Thursday morning.
Police are still looking for the gunman.
