Teen Jumps from Juvenile Correction Van in Delaware, Escapes

Police are searching for a 17-year-old boy who kicked out the window of juvenile correction van and jumped from the moving vehicle to escape.

The escape happened Wednesday evening in the 400 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard in Wilmington as the teen was being transported from a state Family Court proceeding.

Police say the teen, identified by police as 17-year-old Dejuan Robinson, appears to have shed his shackles and the jumpsuit he was wearing at the proceeding.

Sgt. Andrea Janvier says the teen was in custody for a weapons-related offense and he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about the teen's whereabouts should call 911.
