Susan Reeves plans to sue the Millville Police Department for $10 million dollars.

The widow of Officer Christopher Reeves has filed a notice of her intent to move forward with a lawsuit against the department. She is also a Millville police officer.

Officer Reeves was killed in the line of duty on July 8. The 8-year veteran of the department was killed when his patrol car was struck by a vehicle that was being pursued after it had hit another police car.

The driver of that car, Timothy Seidel, is charged with aggravated manslaughter, DWI and reckless driving.

The lawsuit that Susan Reeves intends to file claims that since the Millville Police Department sanctioned and allowed that police chase, they are responsible for Reeves' death.
