Widow of Amish School Shooter Writes Book

The book will discuss the shooting and having to explain the massacre to her children

The widow of a man who killed five of 10 girls he took hostage at an Amish school in Pennsylvania is writing a book about the ordeal.

The (Lancaster) Intelligencer Journal reports Friday that Marie Roberts Monville's book will discuss the shooting and having to explain the massacre to her children.

The book titled "One Light Still Shines: My Life Beyond the Shadow of the Amish Schoolhouse Shooting" will be released Oct. 1 by Zondervan.

Monville has since remarried since her husband, Charles Carl Roberts IV, took the girls hostage inside the West Nickel Mines School and fatally shot five of them before also killing himself on Oct. 2, 2006.

The Amish community tore down the school days later and has rebuilt another a few hundred yards away.
