Police are investigating a hit-run in West Chester that left a 21-year-old man seriously injured.
West Goshen Police responded to the hit-and-run at 12:29 a.m. Sunday and found the victim, identified as 21-year-old Sayid Murphy of Philadelphia, lying in the center turn lane of South High Street. He was taken to Paoli Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, police said.
The striking vehicle was seen fleeing the scene headed south on South High Street toward Route 202, police said. Police later impounded the suspected hit-and-run vehicle, a green 2001 Dodge Caravan, which sustained damage on the driver's side windshield, officials said. They also identified the driver and an interview is pending, according to investigators.
