After a cloudy start Monday, skies will break for sunshine. Temperatures should warm to a bit above the normal high of 44 degrees.

The clouds overnight produced a few scattered light rain showers, fortunately, temperatures stayed above freezing and the showers moved out.

The rest of the work week will be dry, but the temperatures will be on a roller coaster. Tuesday will likely be the nicest day with lots of sunshine. The weekend warm-up will be rainy.

Along with sunshine, Tuesday will be breezy. Those southwesterly winds will help to boost readings into the upper 50s.

A storm getting will make its way across the country. It will bring rain to the west coast, then snow by Wednesday evening in the Rockies. This storm is due into our area Saturday, by then it will be back to rain.

The Winter Solstice arrives Thursday morning at 11:28, but the coldest weather won't arrive until after Christmas, most likely dashing hopes of a white Christmas.
