Officials have lowered the speed limit on several New Jersey roads and made adjustments to New Jersey Transit due to winter weather conditions.
There's a 45 mph speed restriction on the New Jersey Turnpike in both directions from the George Washington Bridge to the Delaware Memorial bridge.
The speed limit has been lowered to 45 mph on the Garden State Parkway from Hazlet to Cape May and 35 mph from Hazlet to the New York state line.
According to New Jersey State Police, troopers have responded to 82 accidents and aided 102 drivers as of 10 a.m. Tuesday.
New Jersey Transit is cross-honoring riders' tickets and passes Tuesday to assist customers during the expected winter weather conditions.
Rail, light rail and bus tickets and passes can be used through the end of service Tuesday on any alternate travel mode, including private bus carriers, according to a NJ Transit news release.
Customers who typically ride the bus between Atlantic City and Lindenwold may use the Atlantic City Rail Line at no additional charge. Travelers heading to a destination other than the one printed on their original ticket are subject to additional charges.
Rail station building and waiting room hours are also extended through Friday.
